Halloween Crafty Time: Recipes

Here are some Halloween recipes and crafts to celebrate the season!

Pumpkin Wedges with Sage:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut a small pumpkin (such as sugar) in half; scrape out seeds. Place cut side down on a baking sheet. Roast for 30 mins. 
2. Remove from oven. Turn oven to broil. Cut pumpkin into two-inch wedges; poke fresh sage leaves into flesh. Drizzle with 1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Broil until wedges are sizzling and sage is crisped, about 6 minutes.


















Don't forget to save the seeds! Bake them at 350 degrees after tossing them with olive oil, kosher salt, pepper, cumin, cinnamon, cayenne and honey. Delish!














































Once you've tried some wedges right out of the oven, use a few to add to a healthy and light vegetable pasta. Just toss your favorite veggies (I used peppers, onions, zucchini and mushrooms) with salt, pepper and olive oil. Then toss with cubed roasted pumpkin in your favorite pasta (I used brown rice spaghetti). Add more olive oil and butter (optional) and salt and pepper to taste. 
















Want an easy Halloween decor project? Just fill your favorite vase with Candy Corn and Melocreme pumpkin candies and- voila! A perfect addition to your festive abode. I recommend using the pumpkins all at either the top or bottom. My attempt at layering the first try didn't turn out very well.
